Unique Weddings at the Old Gaol & Moothall

Discover two extraordinary wedding venues

The Old Gaol and the historic Moothall offer two unusual and unique venues to hold a wedding ceremony.
Although the medieval buildings look imposing from the outside internally the spaces combine the original grandeur with intimacy making them a perfect location to exchange your marriage vows. Both offer wonderful photo opportunities with stunning architecture both inside and out.
The Moothall can accommodate up to 60 guests for a marriage ceremony in the magnificent top floor Lockhart Room, once the Bailiff’s Hall, with the first floor Courtroom available before and after the ceremony for your guests to gather in comfort.
The stone steps which provide access to the Moothall make a perfect setting for wedding photographs. Access to the upper floors for the ceremony is via a further internal flight of stairs. Take a look on the Gallery tab, Weddings for some photographs of the Lockhart Room.
Up to 30 guests can be accommodated for a wedding ceremony at the Old Gaol. This building is fully accessible with external ramps and an internal lift.
